We are proud to announce that the Life in the AI Era (HEDY) Erasmus+ project, coordinated by Óbuda University, has received a prestigious Erasmus+ Quality Award at the 2025 conference “New Possibilities, New Perspectives”, organised by the Tempus Public Foundation. The event took place on 22 May 2025 at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Budapest and brought together award-winning Erasmus+ projects and professional communities across education, youth, training, and sport.
The HEDY project addressed artificial intelligence’s societal and educational implications through international cooperation. Its main outcome is an open online course titled The Social Impact of Artificial Intelligence, available free of charge on the K-MOOC platform in both Hungarian and English (course registration required).
As part of the event, the HEDY project was featured in the session “Life in the World of Artificial Intelligence – Solutions at Óbuda University”, where participants explored the course’s objectives and teaching methods.

In an interview, Dr. habil Gyula Szabó, associate professor and project coordinator, explained:
“Our goal was to support students and educators in adapting to a world shaped by AI. The course encourages critical thinking, self-directed learning, and open dialogue. It was based on survey results published in a special issue of the Safety Science Review, capturing pre-ChatGPT perceptions of AI.”
